GRANDPARENTS’ DAY 2017

Grandparents’ create memories that the heart holds forever……

Grandparents’ Day is the most awaited celebration organized by the pre-school. This year yet again the teachers as well as students left no stone unturned to make it a success.
“JAMBOREE” was the theme for this enthralling evening. It delineated the festivities and merry making of different countries. Children were drenched in the mood of celebration, dressed in traditional attires of the countries depicted.

Mr.Avinash Chandra (IPS), Additional Director General, Kanpur marked his presence as a Chief Guest for the evening. To commend the efforts of the grandparents, epithets like “Doting Grand Paa”, “Soulful Performer” were bestowed upon them. To add to this exquisite evening, engrossing performances given by kids and grandparents proved to be a cherry on the cake.

Dance forms like Samba from Brazil, Cham dance from Bhutan, Flamenco from Spain were a treat to the eyes.

The show reached its pinnacle with the presentation of diverse Indian dance forms like Bharatnatyam , Bhangra , Lavni, which added spark to the electrifying eve.

The exemplary “Jai Ho” medley was the cynosure of all eyes.

The splendid evening took an emotional turn and left the spectators teary-eyed as an adoring grandma shared her feelings as a grandmother to a lovable granddaughter, leaving a strong message for all “Save the girl child”.
