IIMUN Championship Conference 2017

The Indian International Model United Nations, championship conference, one of the most prestigious conferences was held from the 24th of August to the 27th of August, 2017 was held in the mesmerizing Aamby Valley. The school was represented by 15 students and comprised of around 2500 delegates from 42 countries all around the world. The opening ceremony along with the other ceremonies was graced by the presence of a number of dignitaries like Sri Mani Shankar Iyer, Sir Prakash Jha and Dr. Deepak Vhora.

There were lengthy heated debates in all the exhilarating and enriching committees even after which 6 delegates managed to make the school proud with Mehul Rastogi having won the Best Delegate’s award in SOCHUM, Rajveer Singh and Devanshi Loomba special mentions in MAHABHARATA KURUKSHETRA and ADMIN respectively and Anushka Chib and Akshita Gupta VERBAL MENTION in UNSC (double delegation) as well as Samriddhi Gupta won a verbal mention in SPECPOL. The other delegates did an amazing job as well and we consider all of them to be real winners!

This Model United Nations Conference, without ambiguity, helped the students realize their duties as global citizens and also helped build the students’ confidence more than ever before! It indeed has improved their critical thinking and helped them create better constructive arguments! Also, healthy competition inspires kids to do their best – not just enough in way of which they become ever more inquisitive.
