Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter-School Creative Writing Competition
It was a proud privilege for our institution to host the prestigious Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter School Creative Writing Competition on 14th July,2017. Seventeen schools from our state, participated in this competition.
Mrs. Anita Kapoor, a senior English Faculty graced the event as a supervisor. The participants and their teacher escorts reported at 9 am. They were extended a warm welcome by the Principal, Mrs. Shikha Banerjee. The topics were announced by our Principal in the presence of the supervisor. The students were given thirty minutes preparation time and one hour writing time according to the rules from the council.
While the students poured their hearts out on the sheets, the faculty members enjoyed some motivational videos and Ted Talks centered on self-sufficiency, hope and a strong willed outlook.
The competition was followed by a sumptuous lunch, serving delicious continental dishes for the teachers and the participants. The event ended on a happy note as the schools left with satisfaction and smiles on their faces.
