Event Description: The World Bank economist, Dhruv Sharma discussed with respect to the Indian Economy how the World Bank measures its success, how it makes assessments about India’s Fiscal position, how are different segments of society being affected by progress or lack of progress, employment, increase in employment rate but slower than the increase in the rate of output, poverty has declined but inequality has increased.
Event Outcome: It helped the participants become aware of how the concepts learned in textbooks are applied in real life at the macroeconomic level while interpreting the economic situation of a country.
