‘National Adolescent Conference Youth Summit & CME was held on 11th & 12th November, 2017 at ‘Methodist High School, Kanpur. The workshop was organised by Kanpur Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Society Adolescent Health Committee, Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) & Dept. Of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. It was an informative session focusing on the topic –“Healthy Today-Happy Tomorrow.”
In this workshop interesting talks on various adolescent health problems were delivered by the renowned doctors of GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. The workshop was attended by the students of class IX, SAJS, Kanpur. This event provided an ideal opportunity for our students to have personal interaction with the renowned & esteemed doctors.
The main objectives of the workshop were –
- Propagating knowledge about health needs &rights
- Preparing & guiding youth for their bright future
- Awareness about impact of lifestyle
- Inculcating socio-cultural ideals
- Encouraging youth to learn self defence
- Youth friendly clinics with special attention to STI.
