RS Postcard: Adventure in the Centre – St. Philip’s College Alice Spring Australia

St Philip’s College, a private, coeducational school in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory of Australia organized a Round Square Zoom Postcard on Wednesday, August 24^th, 2022, with the theme “Adventure in the Centre”.

This event was inspired by Round Square: an International Network of 200 like-minded schools to collaborate and connect students from around the world. After a brief introduction of the school and a monologue on the importance of adventure camps’ inclusion alongside academics in the life of the students, six Barraza groups, with students aged 16-18 from schools around the world, discussed their views and experiences regarding the same. It was extremely delightful for the participants to share a platform with their exuberant colleagues reliving the thrilling and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

With a plethora of questions and curiosity in their minds, the hosts talked with the scholars about subjects ranging from the uniqueness of their school camp to the food that they eat during camping; from one of the unforgettable moments on the campsite to the life lessons they learnt, our students not only got to know about different cultures and activities but also how deeply everything connects to impact the life of an individual.
