Investiture Ceremony 2020

A ceremony of investiture is symbolic of a myriad of different important aspects of human life- growth, maturity, belief, faith, duty and sincerity, to name a few. These solemn aspects gain heightened gravity when it is young blood that is being invested with the power to change, the power to amend, the power to guide and most importantly, the power to learn.

A holistic educational institution ideally replicates the world of man in a smaller, more intense, condensed model that mirrors the organisational structure and hierarchy we follow on a day-to-day basis, while dispelling the myths and eradicating the shortcomings in the working of the real-life version of the said model. Such models help foster the spirit of leadership, unity, morality and discipline in the young minds nurtured under their umbrella, giving rise to well-formed, mature minds ready to take on the challenges that adulthood brings in its wake.

In keeping with this, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur, to ensure a well-rounded education to its meritorious students, is home to a Students’ Council with a term of one academic session, each. The interested pupils from grade 12 are made to fill and submit a form highlighting their underlying leadership qualities. With regard to the forms, the Council is finally formed after rigorous deliberation and discussions among the staff.

On the 21^st of August,2020 the Students’ Council was invested duties for the academic session 2020-2021S. A very grave and solemn occasion, the virtual ceremony began with the Council members being presented the badge and sashe by their proud parents. In each mind was instilled a sense of pride and respect for the school.

After a sincere oath-taking ceremony, Council members from the four different houses of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School took their places with smiles symbolizing their aspirations for their respective houses– Ganga, Godavari, Narmada and Krishna. 

The four main office bearers- The Head Boy, Head Girl, Associate Head Boy and Associate Head Girl- moved to the podium to deliver their first official address as badge holders. Each student of the school was instilled with a similar sense of pride and admiration on hearing their words of motivation. The parents of the Council Members, too, were filled with pride at the sight of their children marching steadily towards being leaders of tomorrow.

After a concluding speech by our Principal ma’am, the ceremony came to a glorious end with a huge round of applause, followed by our mighty National Anthem resonating in the background.

In each eye was seen hope for a better, more successful tomorrow. The Jaipuria family hopes that the Student Council for the scholastic year 2020-2021 witnesses the zenith of success and progress in its term.

Let us march together to greater heights of glory and wisdom in unison, let us tread from darkness to light– Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya.
